These two beautiful sweethearts were the friends of Spirit, may she binky free, whose horrific condition alerted us to a large dumped colony in San Jose this spring. The first post about this colony was April 2nd but be forewarned, the images are rough – but there’s a warning before the worst of them for folks who want to revisit without seeing the most graphic elements.

Charlotte & Clancy bonded together so very quickly, clearly leaning on each other through grieving & recovery. I’m so glad they survived & were able to support each other 🥹 Their Introduction post was on June 7th, when they were fully bonded & had been given their cute names by one of their rescuers.

Their new mom is a ✨fantastic✨bunny rescuer and I feel so grateful that she’s chosen them to be a part of her big fur family. She even managed a quick holiday pic with all the buns together, not an easy feat 🤣🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇 Charlotte & Clancy are such lucky rabbits and I’m absolutely overjoyed they’ve got a furever family after such a rough start!

Their new mom (& longtime foster) said “I didn’t know who you were going to give me that day. But when I learned they were Spirit’s friends that broke my heart and made SO much sense why they were so shy to start. Poor babies. They’ve come a long way here but have stayed reserved and I’m ok with that. They stay together and are happy! And that makes me happy that they can feel safe. They seem interested in their neighbors. I could see them merging into a bigger group one day! But I’m not pushing anything. Just so happy everyone has friends!

I asked if it’s ok that I’m their mom and Char was just as happy as ever, she’s always so happy! Clancy just kind of tolerates me usually, but at that moment he seemed very happy. Lots of boops. I’ll take that as a yes 😋 I went back the night I told you I was adopting to find their intake post and had a good cry 😞 Thanks for everything you do Jessica! You m
